Tomorrow is my dad's birthday and I thought that it would be something very fun to write about. Some people see birthdays as merely another day. A lot of people don't care about it and think that celebrating their birthday is something unnecessary and boring. I am a person that loves traditions. I think that birthdays are really special and they SHOULD be celebrated. It is one of those days in which you see all of the people that you care about. A lot of times it is also a day in which we see people that are close to us but we rarely have the time or occasion to actually see them. I think that a lot of emotions are shared through birthdays, especially because it is something that brings people together so that they can show how much they care about the birthday person. Last year my birthday was a huge disaster. I spent most of my day crying and it was for such a stupid reason. Now that I think of it, it makes me want to go back so that I could change everything and enjoy it.
Don't underestimate the joy and happiness that a birthday can bring to a person. My mom once asked me: Do you really care that much about your birthday?!
My answer was.. Hell yes!

You're right, a lot of people try to blow them off like they're not important, but birthdays should be special. Hopefully your next one will be better.
